“M.I.A. and Miike Snow’s lovechild”

“Hesta Prynn is the cool funny alt. superstar you wish presented the news every night. Static beats skitter under a Santigold-style vocal, with a riff that The Stokes would kill for. Miss it at your peril.”

Hesta Prynn is a maverick in the classic “New York” sense of the word. Walking the line between exquisitely pretty and totally hardcore, the former Northern State MC remains an artist with a chic sense of style and a visionary take on all things outside the norm.
This is the girl who Questlove called “his melody,” who hit Scores late night with Cypress Hill, made a record with a Beastie Boy and learned to order fast food on the road from Pete Rock. You have a favorite song on the radio right now? Odds are - she's the ghostwriter.
A DJ and longtime lover of vinyl, the next in Hesta Prynn's string of successful releases is "We Could Fall in Love," an EP which includes production by Mad Decent's Derek "DJA" Allen, DJ Teenwolf and newcomer Ido vs The World. Of her sonic mixology she says, “I’m a child of the ’90s. I'm a New York City hip-hop kid inspired by LA dance music. I like to put it all together."
As a performer, Hesta Prynn has played internationally with artists spanning from Jay-Z and 30 Seconds to Mars to Gym Class Heroes and Kelis. The list of DJs and musicians who’ve remixed her music is lengthy and awesome.
As a television personality she can be seen guest hosting music shows for the Logo Channel and Google, and this will be her second year walking the runway in Fashion Week.
